British Museum
As a member of the British Museum, I found out that the entirety of what they display is only a fraction of what they have in their entire collection. They house 8 million artefacts but can only display 0.6% of that, I found this fascinating so I set myself a brief to create a typographic way to demonstrate this fact in an interesting manner in one week. I sent emails to countless curators and visited the museum on several occasions to establish a list of what they had on show and what was in storage. Eventually discovering the artefact names for all 50,000 items that are on show!
Upon learning the names, I wanted to create a simple way to show them all. Below was my answer to that question. all 50,000 items are visible in name form, along with the title and a single strap line. "All of this is only 0.6%"
